Magnetomechanical coupling: a robust approach for studying fusion machines, behaviour during plasma disruptions
Research has been carried out on a methodology of interfacing two distinct codes: an electromagnetic one (CARIDDI) and a mechanical one (ABAQUS) for the solution of problems concering back-plate (BP) modelling during plasma disruptions. The results of the transient magnetomechanical computer simulations are described.
