Abstract

This report presents the results of the study on the performance of a Brewer single monochromator and the determination of the calibration constants of a broadband detector. Comparisons between synchronized solar scans of the single and two double spectrophotometers were made in order to determine the behaviour of the first instrument. The results are considered satisfactory and high correlation coefficients were achieved. The calibration constants of the broadband detector were calculated using two different methods; by data comparison and by using a model's calculations. In both cases, the results are reliable as it appeared from the direct comparison between estimated and real data.
