Among the actinide ternary intermetallic compounds An(x)T(y)X(2), families of compounds with x.y.z = 1.1.1, 1.2.2, 2.2.1, 1.2.3 and 4.7.6 are the most commonly studied. They form large series of isostructural compounds and their uranium counterparts are well known for their challenging properties. This paper contains short review on the compounds existing for each class and their properties.
