The use of remote sensing technique in agricultural meterology practiceFunded under: IC-COST
These proceedings contain the presentations made at the seminar held in Budapest, September 19-20, 1995 on the use of remote sensing in agricultural meterology. The presentations have raised several fundamental issues which have to be tackled carefully in order to improve the use of remote sensing data in agrometerology, such as the availability and relevance of measurements from space to derive the parameters useful for agrometerology. The experience acquired in dealing with the applications already performed, such as those presented at this workshop, is of great value in allowing a clear identification of the needs of agrometerologists in remote sensing data; in improving their use; and in the longer term, in contributing to the definition of the most appropriate remote sensing systems for agrometeorology.
