Trace elements determination in antarctic snow by means of HR-ICP-MS
In this paper direct determination of trace elements (U, Cd, Mo, Pb) has been carried out by high resolution inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (HR-ICP-MS) at the low and sub ppt (pg/g) level in Antarctic snow, without any pre-treatments of the samples. Ultra clean procedures have been used in order to minimize contamination. Comparison between after preconcentration data and these measurements is shown while the final excellent quality of the presented results is emphasized.
