Abstract

This dissertation describes firstly thermal helium radiation with the theoretical fundamental principles and model calculations. Thereafter, this study deals with the source of the gas radiation and describes the theoretical fundamental principles and the results of experiments. There follow experimental analyses on the linear experiment. In the last chapter investigations and results from the plasmagenerator PSI are described.

In plasmas with quite specific electron temperatures and electron densities, the helium radiation diagnostic is a very suitable method to determine the electron parameters in the surface plasmas. .
