The Euratom-CEA Association is essential in the palette of activities necessary in advancing the definition of a controlled thermonuclear fusion reactor, but its efforts principally revolve around the Tore Supra tokamak. The past two years has seen the notable evolution of Tore Supra and its exploitation.
The Association has developed a global vision of the ITER project in the frame of the ITER-CEA group, which has allowed a effective contribution to the European evaluation of the Interim Design Report of ITER. A project group has been created with the goal of providing all the elements necessary to allow the proposal of a site at Cadarache for ITER.
