Community Research and Development Information Service - CORDIS

These guidelines explain the different features of WATCH, then show how to setup the software and adapt it to a particular system. There follows a tutorial to demonstrate an example of searches in the ECHO databases using WATCH, the intention being to introduce the basic steps involved in a query. Lastly, there is a reference section, to explain the more advanced features not covered in the tutorial. Descriptions of the ECHO databases, and other supporting information, are contained in ECHO brochures. This includes information about the ECHO Service, a detailed description of the content of each database and instructions for logging on to the ECHO Host using either a telephone connection, a packet switching (X.25) network or the Internet.
