RF systems for heating and current drive in fusion experiments
Radio frequency (RF) techniques have been widely used for heating and current drive in fusion plasma physics experiments and are sufficiently mature to be presently considered for use in ITER. The physics which has an impact on the engineering design of the RF systems are discussed and the present status of the design of RF systems for ITER are reviewed.
