Abstract

A realistic antenna module using a poloidal power divider for lower hybrid current drive (LHCD) experiment, is modelled and fabricated. In this antenna module test II, 3 types of poloidal dividers, which split the power in 3, are tested: the first one is a slot-type converter (PPD), the second one is a mode converter (MC) and the third is an E-plane multi-junction twisted in the H-plane (E/H MJ). These 3 poloidal dividers are tested in combination with the multi-junction featuring 3 rows of 6 secondary waveguides (3 x 6 multi-junction module). Rf properties, at low and high power, withstand voltage and outgassing are studied at the LH test facility of Cadarache (CEA).
