This paper summarises the main results and lessons obtained from the 2 first tests of the Phebus FP Programme. Many questions arose from the first test due to the difficulty of prediction of the bundle degradation and the iodine chemistry using the codes available at that time. The second test confirmed the phenomena observed, specially regarding the bundle degradation and the iodine behaviour. On the basis of these experiments, both conducted in steam rich conditions, 3 main points are discussed.
