  • College of technology experiments for hot gas desulphurization of raw gas of an HTW carburator with a view to its integration into a combi-power station


The cleaning of hot gas under pressurised combustion gases has increased in popularity in the past few years in connection with the development of forward thinking power station technologies, in particular in the case of the combi-power station technique. The cleaning of the raw gas from the carburation at high temperature levels, and the use of hot gases in the gas turbines, can assist with increasing the degree of effectiveness, and can lead to a further simplification of the total methodology concept of the combi process.

The hot gas cleaning shall also be tested for the raw gas of the HTW carburation. Within the scope of the enclosed research work, preparatory experiments will be carried out to desulphurize hot gas according to the guidelines of the college of technology. The aim of the research is to test and to pre-select suitable sorbents with simulated HTW raw gas as well as the determining of the working behaviour and allowable working parameters for the conditions of repeated sulphurization and desulphurization of these sorbents. .
