Abstract

A method has been developed to investigate the interaction of surfactants with the soil-water partitioning of hydrophobic pesticides at doses below and above the surfactant's critical micellar concentration. The method consists of the following three steps:

- Studying the sorption of surfactant on soil;
- Determining the partitioning of pesticides between soils and aqueous phases containing surfactant monomers at environmentally relevant concentrations;
- Determining the pesticides partitioning between soil, water and micelles. es.
