Measurement of the (n,n'gamma) excitation functions of low lying levels of molybdenum isotopes
The gamma-ray yield of (n,n') reaction and the excitation functions for some low lying levels of molybdenum isotopes were measured from 0.2 tot 3.3 MeV at the pulsed 7 MV Van de Graaff accelerator with a white neutron source from a thick Li target and neutron time of flight spectroscopy. Gamma rays from inelastic scattering were detected with a HPGe detector covering a broad solid angle at about 90 . The neutron fluence was monitored by the (10)B(n, alpha gamma) reaction rate from a (10)B disk covering the back side of the (nat)MO sample. The gamma-ray yield data were analysed in terms of cross sections for excitation functions of low lying levels. These cross sections are compared with scarce data available in the literature.
