Performance values are reported of different active neutron interrogation techniques for the assay of the fissile content, (ie (235)U), in uranium material. The techniques discussed are the neutron coincidence collar (NCC), active well coincidence counter (AWCC), Phonid and advanced Phonid techniques, based on a combination of emission and transmission measurements. Most of the results are based on measurements of well characterized PERLA standards and discussed in terms of in-field applications.
