The normal ventilation within buildings
Ventilation of inside rooms is needed to ensure comfortably cool conditions for inhabitants. It removes both indoor contaminants produced by the human body and kitchen combustion products, it keeps carbon dioxide (CO(2)) levels at a minimum and dilutes building pollutants. In many part of the Mediterranean regions there are several months of the year during which comfortably cool indoor conditions can be achieved by natural ventilation. Natural ventilation consists mainly of opening windows to allow a lot of air through the room.
