Intelligent automation and human factors in aviation training
The methodology described foresees the use of a reference paradigm of behaviour and two approaches for generating simulator tests. This methodology is under development. The theoretical layout is being formalized and a number of preliminary experiments have been carried out to confirm the complexity of the practical sessions and the impossibility to collect data for very extended phases of the flight and for a high number of behavioural markers. The next steps will aim at defining the precise correspondence between human factor aspects, behavioural markers and specific scenarios. At the same time, the development of a support tool for instructors, based on the same methodology, is under way.
