Socioeconomic and cultural factors in air pollution epidemiologyFunded under: FP4-ENV 2C
This Air Pollution Epidemiology Report emanates from a Workshop on Socioeconomic and Cultural Factors in air pollution epidemiology. This European Commission research workshop was hosted by the EC/DG XII in Brussels in March, 1995. This report addresses the various confounding and modifying impacts that social, economic, ethnic and cultural factors may have on the time-activity patterns, levels of air pollution exposures, health status, and questionnaire responses of different groups in a community. It also discusses the techniques by which socioeconomic and cultural factors can be measured and incorporated into study designs in air pollution epidemiology.
