The aim of the validation process for users' requirements in air traffic operations (VAPORETO) project is to provide an initial step towards the validation of advanced air traffic management (ATM), taking into account its complexity. It describes a framework for the validation of ATM concepts, systems and procedures. The present document is the end report of the VAPORETO project and consolidates its results. It summarizes the results of the following 7 work packages:

- WP1, Identify scope of ATM overall validation;
- WP2, Review relevant existing methodologies;
- WP3, Assess necessary validation developments;
- WP4, Develop operational validation strategies;
- WP5, External validation strategies;
- WP6, Assess the operational validation techniques required;
- WP7, Guidelines for the convergence of validation processes in Europe.

Next to the summaries of the work package reports, validation conclusions and recommendations are described, as well as suggestions for follow-on research. research.
