Community Research and Development Information Service - CORDIS

This report presents the results of The Model Use and Fast Time Simulation (MUFTIS) study which had the aim of developing practical methodologies for the evaluation of Air Traffic Management (ATM) technology: new tools, new procedures, proposed concepts defined in European programmes such as ATLAS, AEGIS or EATCHIP. The technical approach of the study relies on a comprehensive theoretical framework for modelling and simulation, on specific simulation experiments and on the development of new models. MUFTIS is focused on the capacity, the safety, the cost effectiveness strategic objectives of Air Traffic Management, and on the human operator.
