Community Research and Development Information Service - CORDIS

The research reported here was conducted over the period 1 October 1993 to 31 December 1995 under the European Commission's Environment Programme. It was coordinated by the Environmental Change Unit at the University of Oxford and was implemented as a collaborative project by sixteen research institutions. An overview of the study's aims and methodology is provided in the first section. Construction of scenarios of climate change was central to all of the research and is thus presented first. It is followed by the analysis of crop-specific climatic extremes which is both climatically and agriculturally oriented. Results from six experiments conducted within the projects are then reported. This is followed by a description of methodologies for the integration of the different temporal and spatial scales employed in the project.
