The European Network Ageing Materials Evaluation and Studies (AMES) was created in 1993 with the general objective to bring together the organizations in Europe that have the main capabilities on Reactor Pressure Vessel materials assessment and research. In this paper, a status report of the AMES Network and of its reference laboratory work is provided. The AMES structure, objectives and activities are presented with their current status as well as the various AMES main and spin-off projects.
