Abstract

The design of the combined 82.7 GHz and 118 GHz, 4.5 MW, 2.0 s electron cyclotron wave (ECW) system for heating and current drive on tokamak à configuration variable (TCV) is described. Low and high power test results of the radio frequency (RF) source, transmission line and launching antenna are presented.
