Abstract

The use of neural network models have attracted much interest recently in system identification and control. This paper describes a model that enables the determination of 235-U enrichment out of a gamma-spectrum obtained with a NaI detector with different absorbing materials between sample and detector. In the data analysis, the input is given by the experimental spectra without any prior knowledge of the different attenuating layers used, and the output of interest is the 235-U enrichment of the sample.
