Community Research and Development Information Service - CORDIS

Research undertaken in the Community is directly linked to the problems and challenges of our time. This document offers an accessible and readable introduction to a very small number of the thousands of projects which receive support from the European Union, highlighting the benefits they have brought, or will bring, to Europeans in the near future.

It deals with agricultural innovation, medical research, environmental protection, and new technology in education and training. All these projects are likely to have a concrete and positive impact on health, work and the quality of life in Europe.
