This second volume of the report to the European Commission on science park networks (SPNET) contains individual country reports from Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Holland, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Portugal, Spain, and the United Kingdom. It also contains details of a technology demonstration centres study where objective was to review the experiences of current telecommunications demonstration centres (TDC). This study consisted of desk research (including interviews) of existing operations, together with analysis of the characteristics of the different experiences identified in Europe. A preliminary typology of TDC is proposed, illustrated by case studies. General recommendations to the Commission are given. The volume concludes with the results of the SPNET postal survey in which 382 science parks, technopoles, incubators, business innovation centres and teleports were contacted, with a response rate of 42%.
