Reports on tasks for scientific cooperation: Microbiological criteria. Collation of scientific and methodological information with a view to the assessment of microbiological risk for certain foodstuffs
A directive was adopted by the Council of the European Commission to ensure that the member states take all the necessary measures including financial measures, to enable their competent authorities and bodies to cooperate with the Commission and lend it the assistance it needs in the scientific examination of questions of public interest relating to food. The list of authorities designated by the member states for cooperation with the Commission and for distribution of work to appropriate institutes, as required by article 2 of council directive 93/5/EEC, was last published in the Official Journal C 356 of 22 November 1997. Article 3(2) of directive 93/5/EEC requires that an inventory of tasks is drawn up and updated at least every six months. The present report deals with scientific cooperation Task 2.1 in the inventory of tasks.
