Abstract

Reactions of relevance to the atmospheric fate of some biogenically emitted volatile organic compounds (VOC) has been studied by laboratory experiments on their reaction rate constants with main atmospheric oxidising species (hydroxide and nitrate radicals and ozone), their organic reaction products and ozone formation. These studies have been performed in three types of reaction chambers: a 480 1 evacuable chamber, large, 1.5m{3} inflatable Teflon bags and in the EUPHORE outdoor photoreactor with a volume of 200m{3} in Valencia.
