Abstract

A summary is given of the analytical and modelling activities in the frame of the STORM project that have been undertaken. The aerosol models included in the VICTORIA-92 and RAFT computer codes have been assessed against a series of STORM experiments on turbulent deposition. VICTORIA-92 and RAFT are two state-of-the-art mechanistic codes on fission product and aerosol behaviour within the reactor coolant system. The VICTORIA-92 and RAFT codes are currently under validation. In addition, the CAESAR computer code for particle resuspension in turbulent pipe flows is presently under development. The major features, most recent developments and results of CAESAR are also presented.
