It is important to know how to store, transport, use and dispose of dangerous chemicals safely; to know what to do in emergency situations; and how to treat medical and environmental problems quickly and effectively. In 1992, the European Union (EU) adopted Council Regulation (EEC) No 2455/92 concerning the export and import of certain dangerous chemicals, replacing and extending Council Regulation (EEC) No 1734/88. This publication provides a guide to Council Regulation (EEC) No 2455/92.
