Real-time long-range dispersion model evaluation of the ETEX first release
On October 24th 1994 the first release of the European tracer experiment project (ETEX) was performed at Monterfil (France). This volume describes the real-time model predictions and the inter-comparison exercise following the release experiment. The volume briefly reports the preliminary phases when the communication logistics, the experimental procedures and the statistical analysis were tested. The Volume also includes description of the main features of the participating models, the results of chemical analyses of tracer samples, and the statistical methods used for model evaluation. The models were evaluated by pairing their results with observations separately in time or in space and in both time and space. The results of the application of the various indices to these paired populations of data are thoroughly discussed.
