Abstract

This report contains the talks held at the 139th PTB seminar dealing with New problems in the transmission of high frequency measurements. The industries working in the field of high frequency technology have to face growing demands to safeguard quality in order to remain competitive. The measuring standard of industrial calibration laboratories has to be in tune. The laboratories also have to cope with new problems in measuring technology and the calculation of measurement uncertainty when transmitting high frequency measurements. The seminar aimed at presenting solutions for selected measuring problems in high frequency technology, like equivalent reflection factor of high frequency power splitters, S-parameter measurement with network analysers, measurement of noise output and of high frequency voltage as well as calibration of oscilloscopes. Questions about dealing with measurement uncertainties were illustrated by examples.
