Community Research and Development Information Service - CORDIS

The main goal of this impact study is to contribute to the reflection on the European added value of the research networks' activity by studying the role of Community financial support, the forms of organization adopted by the partner's research teams and the degree of their involvement in the collaborative research. The theme of communication technology is particularly well chosen due to its trans-disciplinary aspect, the strong social impact on everyday life, and the proximity between research and market innovations. This study raises several basic issues regarding the monitoring of such activities, for example the added value for training, research, improving the links between academia and industry, and European cohesion.
