Updating of land-cover maps by using texture information from very high resolution space-borne imagery
A texture change detection methodology is applied in this article, based on explicit user requirements in terms of example imagery and false alarm and misclassification probabilities. A distance measure between texture features based on the co-occurrence matrix is defined, and its ability to measure changes in some land-cover categories of interest, as seen in high-resolution space-borne images, is investigated.
