Ambiguity and problems of communication in air traffic control
This paper presents and discusses the findings of a data collection exercise, based on a questionnaire, in the domain of air traffic control. The key issue tackled is the language ambiguity that can cause serious problems and may lead to accidents. Air traffic controllers have shown to be aware of the problem and have proposed possible solutions that could be implemented in current traffic control systems.
