Use of post test analysis for the characterization of aerosol in the STORM (simplified tests on resuspension mechanisms) project
The STORM (simplified tests on resuspension mechanisms) project was designed in order to study aerosol transport phenomena in reactor components during severe accidents, allowing representative experiments under prototypical accident conditions to be performed. Currently, aerosol deposition and resuspension in a 5 m long stainless steel pipe is being studied. The aerosols studied to date concern the insoluble SnO(2). The results are discussed in this paper.
