The aim of this study is to evaluate the conditional phased construction of an electricity production unit with gasification of coal, bearing in mind that the price of gas and of oil are currently low, but are uncertain in the longer term. The aim of the study was also to compare the gas channel with the coal channel, ie to study the quick combustion. The aim was to determine the conditions for using the gas channel during the phased construction. The channels were looked at in four different conditions, each condition defined by two scenarios of evolution of prices of the combustibles and two scenarios of taxation on pollution and on CO(2).

We wanted to show the economical conditions in which the channels are economically equal. This was achieved by taking into account the two principal elements that are: the price of the fuels (gas and coal), and the duration of use. The current situation explains the interest given to the construction of gas stations with combined cycles CCT, and to the conversion to a GCC station if the price of gas goes up. .
