The main objective of the agglomeration industry if the full use of coal fines (anthracite fines or poor fines) for the manufacture of combustible pellets for domestic use. We paid particular attention to the additivity of the agglomeration parameters, with a view to formulation of combustibles of a given quality from the numerous commercial coals available.

This work also allowed us to invent a procedure to follow the entire reaction of a pellet during the compression test. We also invented an operational mode allowing us to determine the resistance to traction of the material from a diametrical compression measure. Correlations between these two parameters, particular to each type of flexibility, have therefore been established, for coal fines and for industry fines. .
