  • Transformation of skills of technical-commercial staff in a company based on knowledge and training: Case studies in France, Portugal and Scotland

Abstract

The electronic sector is employing less people today in France and in Portugal, whereas it is employing more people in Scotland since 1990. In France, the decreasing number of jobs is linked to an increase in staff skills and productivity. This is nevertheless not the case in Portugal. In Scotland and in Portugal, companies specialised in electronics are mainly part of multinational groups. In France, the companies we came across for this study gave move importance to the supply of products including service-supply.
