Experimental study of long range alpha particle emitted during spontaneous fission of 238, 240, 242, 244 Pu isotopes
Yields and energy distributions of Long Range Alpha particles emitted during 238,240,242,244Pu(SF) have been measured with a E/E detector. A decrease of 40% of the LRA emission probability was observed when going from 238Pu to Pu, which goes along with a comparable decrease on the standard II fission mode yield.
