Detailed experimental and theoretical study of fast turbulent hydrogen deflagration
Experimental data from different scaled facilities are needed to validate CFD (computational Fluid Dynamics) codes before applying them to large scale reactor geometries. Major problems arize for the modeling of turbulent combustion processes in the CFD codes. Detailed measurement information from small scale laboratory type experiments are extremely helpful for the improvement of combustion models.
