Thermal Internal Boundary Layer Entrainement Zone: Wavelet Analysis of Aircraft Measurements
The aircraft measurements collected during the BEMA campaign conducted last June in Buriana (SP) have been analysed using wavelet theory. The technique allows us to locate the entrainment zone of the Thermal Internal Boundary Layer and the characteristic turbulence lengthscales. This portion of the layer and its physical characteristics are essential for the estimate of the entrainment and detrainment of trace gasses emitted at the surface or transported in the free atmosphere.
