Abstract

Energy spectra and emission probabilities of the Long range Alpha particle emitted during spontaneous fission of (283,240,242,244) Pu-Isotopes have been measured using a +E-E telescopes. The choice of this set of nuclei is explained in terms of the fission mode components which were determined recently (1). Our detection system is described in detail as well as the tests made based on the well known (252)Cf(sf) decay. Each Pu-isotope was studied under identical experimental conditions in order to get reliable results. (1) L.Demattè et al. ,Nucl.Phys.A617 (1997) 331.
