Promotion and validation of sanitary and food-used stainless steels through managing their interactions with micro-organisms
The project has shown it is possible to minimize dioxin emission during the steelmaking process. While catalytic destruction and pulverized coke were found to be untenable methods, incineration can reduce the dioxin concentration by at least 90%. It was also found that energy losses could be reduced, and that the emission of dioxin from filter installations can be significantly decreased.
