Criteria and Methods to Integrate Equity, Efficiency and Effectiveness in EU and Global Climate PolicyFunded under: FP4-ENV 2C
A workshop held in Brussels on May 18-19, 1998 discussed the development of effective, efficient and equitable climate policies and the analysis and solution of the potential trade-offs between equity, efficiency and effectiveness. The two main objectives of the meeting were as follows. Firstly, to exchange information between projects some of which are long running and others which are recent. Secondly, to build bridges between research projects and policy making. This can be applied to linking the discussion of climate policy making in the post-Kyoto phase to the results of research. Four ongoing research projects presented data that were very relevant for the discussion about the development of equitable climate policies.
