Modelling of the D2 Transient Release After Plasma Implantation Shots in the Martensic Steel DIN1.4914
The paper presents our plasma implantation/recycling test/ its modelling and the results obtained for recombination rate constant K2 and dissociation K1 for a deuterium plasma in DIN1.4914 (MANET). The D2 release is seen to be surface limited. The values obtained for K1 and K2 show low dispersion on impinging flux and ion energies agreeing, in activation energies, with those derived from permeation experiments. High reflection coefiicients are found, in good agreement with the classical theory of ion scattering at low energy.
