  • ECVAM 99/02 Drug Sensitivity of Granulocyte-macrophage precursors (CFU-GM) from fresh murine bone marrow and from long term bone marrow cultures

The granulocyte-macrophage colony forming unit assay has been widely used to investigate the pathogenic mechanism of drug-induced blood disorders and for screening the potential myelotoxicity of antineoplastics. Considering the wide use of this technique, there is a need for a more standardized protocol, particularly with respect to the exposure conditions. The sensitivity of granulocyte-macrophage progenitors to three antineoplastic drugs.
