Morphological segmentation of urban areas using very high resolution remotely sensed imagery
Imagery from the very high-resolution, but it will also decrease the accuracy of the urban fabric automatic recognition accuracy of built up areas. This has been tested with texture indices, with local convolution transformations and with fast morphological transformations and multi-sensor merging. The increase of the resolution accuracy requires new approaches to remote sensing image processing that can be compared to the image understanding techniques.
