Werkstoff-wissenschaftliche und technologische Losungen zur herstellung von kornorientierten nicht schlussgegluhten Elektrobanden
The object of the investigation was the creation of material-based principles and technical solutions for the production of original grain-oriented unannealed electro-bands for magnet cores with an enriched orientation and two different levels of polarization. The desired texture-formation was established by small and large-scale trials and it was found desirable to establish the required structure to a substantial degree in the cold-formed state. Careful control of the carbon content is essential and the presence of silicon and phosphorus must be avoided as far as possible to avoid a reduction in the level of susceptibility to magnetization. Details are provided of various processing stages to ensure the required grain orientation characteristics. When exposed to magnetizing influences, it is advantageous if the direction of maximum ease of magnetization in the stamped pieces coincides with the direction of magnetic flux. Samples drawn from motor-production operations showed that by using the material with the higher level of polarization, the efficiency losses could be reduces by up to 10% which means that unit dimensions can be reduced, which in turn offers reduced consumption of material and energy.
