Leaching of high burn-up UO2 and MOX fuel rods with pre-set cladding defects
In order to simulate the realistic case of groundwater coming into contact with a spent nuclear fuel repository, the leaching of irradiation MOX and UO2 fuel rods with pre-set cladding defects has been studied. Leaching experiments in de-ionized water at 100 degrees Celsius under anoxic or reducing conditions were performed.
